this error goes back to Photoshop 7.0

Is a data corruption issue identified in files created by Adobe Photoshop Under certain circumstances, Photoshop can create a text layer that is written incorrectly into a PSD, TIFF, or PDF file. When trying to open a file saved with this kind of text layer, Photoshop will report the following
error message: “A problem was encountered reading layer “xxx” because the layer is not a valid text layer. The existing pixel data will be used instead. Continue?”

you can try and fix it by downloading a utility from adobe that addresses this specific problem
