It will prompt you to verify the clear. If that doesn't work, I'd ask around the Adobe forums—it may be a common enough problem that others have solved. Worst case, try repair install or complete reinstallation of PS. I DO NOT recommend the other guy's link. I’d first try clearing your PS preferences file:
