Well I finally got it to work, but not without some major annoyances. Here are the steps that I took, hope they work for others until they can get this $120 product to finally work.

Uninstall all versions of Silverlight, MLB NexDef, and Autobahn. Close all browsers. Install nexdef first, then SliverLight, I tried this with both 1 and the 2.0 Beta. Restart IE 7.0, and go to internet options. Click on Trusted sites, and add in http://*.mlb.com. I did not have to alter any of the other Security Settings for Internet (Medium-high) or Local Intranet (Medium). Now if you want to view it in IE 7.0, you will get three annoying pop-ups that you need to click Yes to in order to get it to work on IE 7.0. Launch a game from http://www.mlb.com. If you get prompted at anytime with a message that states “The current Web page is trying to open a site in your trusted sites list. Do you want to allow this?” Now the 800k feed will start, click on the 1.2 and you will get prompted one more time, this time the feed will start…………OR…..easier way, is go to MLB.com in firefox after you make the security changes and the player will launch the 1.2 feed with no issues at all.

The problem is that Internet Explorer 7 is buggy when interacting with the recent Flash 9.0.115 upgrade.

You have 2 choices right now.

1) use Firefox 2.0 as your browser (that’s what I would do). You can download and install Firefox for free. Make sure it is version 2.0.

2.) uninstall Internet Explorer version 7 and re-install Internet Explorer 6.

P.S. To the above individual who thinks mlb.com will respond to his one email. If mlb.com gets 1,000,000 plus emails a day, how effective do you think email is??

I get this same problem. I emailed MLB about it as well and haven’t gotten anything back.

Having the same problem and running it as an administrator didnt work…..i hope someone figures it out soon

I just got the service today. Try to run the plugin setup as Administrator. That should force the installer to run as a service.
