When you attempt to start Microsoft Exchange MTA (Message Transfer Agent) service, you might encounter the following error message:

Grounds of the problem
You may encounter this problem if any of the following conditions are true:
? Incorrect values exists in the registry for the location of MTA database path.
? The EDB (Exchange Server database file) is corrupted and Exchange Server can not read data from it.
