My son is trying to play Worlds of Warcraft. Our pc runs Windows Vista, and he keeps getting an error message?

The error message says something about the display resolution needs to be changed, but it is set on the setting it says to, and it still comes up every sixty seconds or so. It says I can hit “2″ to disable the message, but that doesn’t work either. Anyone got any other ideas? This is a flat screen monitor new six months ago. Any help would sure be appreciated.
I changed it to the next one down too and the message keeps coming up. Even when we are just on the web.

Maybe it is a problem with the new patch. Try disabling all add-ons for the game, and erase the WTF folder.

i am a wow freak and i run vista with no problems. Try to check everything if not call geek squad or go to a computer store and ask them. if all fails call Microsoft for a refund or ask them how to fix it.

p.s. if you have any friends who play wow/nerd ask them to come over for dinner or ask them how to fix it.

It could be a monitor thing. when i run stuff out of native resolution on my 21″ wide lcd, I get big blue messages that pop of from the monitor itself telling me to change it. I would try actually fiddling with the monitors settings, especially if the error isn’t windows but say, a crude, dos-ish looking blue box.
