the only way I’ve found to get rid of gunk like that is to remove all my important stuff to a cd and then do a manufacturer’s reinstall from the restore cd’s I got when I bought my laptop.

    What kind of error messages?

anyways, try downloading Ccleaner from download.com and run it. run the cleaner then scan for issues in the registry. that should clear somethings up

Get the program CCleaner for free online, it clears error messages your internet catch and all sorts of other temporary files that take up space. It cleared me like 16gigs the first time I used it.

Don’t wory it doesn’t get rid of ay files or programs just the temporary stuff your computer is supposed to get rid of.

if u are having so many error messages then u should have been affected by a virus…first download an antivirus and check your computer……but the antivirus can only detect and delete the virus and infected files..and cannot repair it…
Im sorry to say this but………….
……………the only thing u can do is to reinstall vista or Xp on ur laptop…..

There is a free software program at Ccleaner.com
I have used it with both Visa and XP Pro with great success.
It will eliminate all unnecessary files and you can also run the Register cleaner that will help dramatically.

This is a Freeware program that relys on donations. Hence it actually works!!!

I would recommend you defragment your hard drive TWICE before running this program. Then run a virus/adware scan by a program such as Windows Live OneCare. (It is a free software program for VISA downloadable off the Microsoft website)

PS … anyone giving a thumbsdown to this program is absolutely CLUELESS!

Sorry, the question is not complete. Are you getting pop ups that there are more than 1000 security errors on the computer ? If Yes then it’s spyware that’s causing issue and for that please follow these simple instructions :

    1. Reboot the computer in safe mode with networking(Reboot the computer and from the very first screen where you see the BIOS info or the Logo of the Maker of the computer keep tapping F8 and choose the option safe mode with networking)

Note : You might not be able to connect to the internet if you have a wireless connection, for that you can connected the ethernet cable directly from the router to the LAN ports to make it as a wired connection, otherwise download the below instructed tools in normal mode, install them and run these tools in safe mode with networking after downloading them)

    2. Download and run ” Trojan Remover from the below link and ran it after updating it ”
    http://simplysup.com/tremover/download.html

Note : This tool will not update in safe mode so if you are running the tool in safe mode, then simply scan the computer and just remove al the infections that it got(by default)

    3. Reboot the computer and again to in safe mode with networking by the first step

    4. Download and Install Malwarebytes, update it and then scan the computer for infections
    http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

    5. Reboot the computer in normal mode and install the last scan ” superantispyware “, update it and scan the computer.
    http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfile.html?productid=SUPERANTISPYWAREFREE

    That should fix ur issues.

And If you are worried about the computer’s logs about the error reports

Then simply click on start and type RUN in search and open it. Then type cleanmgr, press enter and select c: and click on enter, you will see the error logs over there so check all and leave the compressed old files and then click ok to remove the junk files from the computer and reboot

this will remove the error logs for the system
