Is the e74 error for xbox 360 a problem that is likely to be recurring?

My xbox 360 has been broken with the e74 error for a couple of weeks now. I know somebody who is willing to repair it for a very generous fee. However, if this problem is going to happen time and time again, I may consider buying a brand new xbox 360.

you can send it to microsoft and they will repair it for free…
Ok no matter what do not resort to the towel trick.
It may fix your xbox temporarily but it gets worse and worse each time.
Getting your friend to fix it would require him to break the seal, thus voiding the warranty.
If you’re still in warranty please give it to microsoft to repair
It’s not worth buying a whole new xbox
or you can sell it to me and i can give u a fair price
