Question from Truth Teller: When or were u taken off work due to pelvic pain in 3rd trimester?
I am 32 weeks pregnant and beginning to experience major pelvic pain and pressure. I thought it could be PSD but not sure until tomorrow.
I am completely wore out by about a half a day and so sore by the end of the day that I can barely walk.
What are the chances of my OB taking me off work now?
Has anyone been taken off work because of these problems?

well, talk to your obgyn .. he has the power to give you a doctors note putting you on bed rest .. which will get you out of work and you can be put on maternity leave a little early. If it is too early for maternity leave … you can get temporary disability (social security) which you’ve already paid into.
Your employer CANNOT fire you over that! it’s illegal.
You and your baby’s health is the most IMPORTANT thing! don’t ever forget that!

What is a PSD Source File and where can I find it / how do I create it when I do an image on Photoshop? I am entering a graphics contest that asks for a PNG with transparent background (which I know how to do) as well as the PSD Source File (which I know nothing about.)
Please help….I’ve googled it and found nothing but sites telling me where to download free source files and nothing on what it is etc.

I accidentally saved a Photoshop PSD file as a PDF, which would be okay but I still need to work on it. When I open the file in Photoshop, it immediately rasterises the text. When I open it in Adobe Reader (I don’t have Acrobat) it sees the text in layers, but I can’t edit it. Helllp! I need to be done with this today!

If all the brush files are in one excact folder just select them all when you go to the brush tool change the brush on the top bar go on the little stripe click load new brush and just make a box and select all the brush files and then just import them if all the brush files aren’t in the same folder i would run a search by start and typ all of the brush file names something like smudgebrush3.bts (its not bts but giving example) then run a search and typ in .bts it should show all the files of those specfiic files then make a box drag them in a new folder and then do what i said up above

i often provide photoshop sample files for my students through a networked drive but i run into the problem of them saving their own work over the original file, thus changing it for anyone who comes in after them? is there a way to make a psd read-only so they are forced to “save as” instead of “save”?

Lecture note material or supplements? Why not produce PDF files instead? These can be locked (password) although you might need another software for that — Acrobat. If you’ve MS Word, same thing, flatten your image and paste it in the doc and lock it.

Hey I just tried… Close the file in Photoshop then locate that PSD in Windows. Right-click it and choose Properties. At the bottom of this window, you’ll see read-only, tick that box and click “ok.” Next time you re-open it in Photoshop, do a mod and try to save (replace) it, Photoshop displays an error message.

The girl helping me at Kinko’s downloaded my documents in a PSD format when I had asked her to do so in a PDF. When I got home and put the memory stick into my computer, it wouldn’t recognize PSD. IS there anything I can do to avoid going back to Kinko’s in the morning and starting over?

Please install adobe photoshop latest version. Select Save as and save in .pdf format.
Or Go to automate in file menu, make pdf.

MAc to Pc images?
I have edited some photos on photoshop on a mac computer at school and i put them onto a usb now when i plug it into my pc it comes up with the image and then flashes to the default icon saying i cant view it

I can’t view the images (megaupload is being slow). But I wouldn’t want to have to register with them anyhow just to download. I suggest www.imageshack.com as a better free hosting solution (people don’t have to login). Or, if you have Picasa/Google, you can upload it to your webalbum for free.
I assume the image is of the file you’re trying to load. It would be much more helpful to take a screen capture of the error message you are getting, and what the image looks like when you try to load it on your PC.
Please provide more info on what version of Photoshop is being used on both the Mac and PC, what versions of OSX and Windows you are using, and any other relevent details such as what file format you are saving in. This should not be a problem for any modern software. I suspect you’re using old versions of OS X or photoshop. Are you working with JPG or PSD files?

I used to drag photos to the photoshop icon and it automatically opens with photoshop. now, I don’t know why it seems it doesn’t work… it just opens photoshop without opening the same photo.. how I can solve this problem?

I use photoshop to draw, but lately my strokes are all showing up transparent, even when the opacity and hardness are set at 100%.
The modes are “normal”.
I’m photoshop illiterate so I have no idea what is wrong..I have been toying with all the brush options and none seem to affect this.

Question from sisy_girl56: Military ID card problem?
I urgently need help with my military ID card issue. My SP is in the brig at the moment so that complicates things. My ID card expires in 2 days and 2 bases are giving me the run around. The base that i am closest too tells me that I am only entitled to a 30 day extention on my ID. The PSD where my SP is, is telling me that as long as he is in the brig he is considered active duty and that I am entitled to benefits until he gets out. I am being yanked back and forth and don’t know who to turn to and who to believe. I have two children and I need my medical. Does anyone know who I can turn to, to get this worked out?
I have already talked to the Personal officer for BOTH PSD as well as the CMC for the brig! The CMC and the PO for the brig PSD have both told me that I am entitled to benefits UNTIL he is out of the military. Its the PSD here in my state that is telling me other wise! have contacted Legal as well and they said to talk to the PSD for the brig or the CMC for the brig which i’ve done!

You probably are not going to be covered if he is in jail, think about it, if he was doing life the military wouldnt be supporting you, and the fact that he is in jail probably disqualifies you, BUT you really need to go talk to the legal office, and don’t use yahoo answers, the legal office will be able to tell you what you are entitled to and you better hurry and if they don’t know go to family support immediately after.
