you’re going to have to state your actual problem … because your question just doesn’t make sense

Edit* repeating the question doesn’t make it any clearer … but it sounds like W7 hasn’t recognised your graphics card if you have low screen res?

Windows 7 automatically found drivers for my hardware when I was playing with it. So ther probably is not a driver available for it at this time.

Star Trek Elite Force 2 error windows 7?

Question from Robbie B: Star Trek Elite Force 2 error windows 7?
I get this error on my windows 7 when trying to start the game “GLW_StartOpenGL() – could not load OpenGL subsystem” it worked on my previous versions of windows but won’t now. I have tried xp service pack 3 and windows 2000 service pack but get hte same error. Any ideas?

Answer by jcurrieii
You’ll need to patch the game for W7, assuming you can find one, since that is a 98/2000/ME/XP game.

In any case…when you run it, try running in compatibility mode. It’s a 7 year-old game after all. The OpenGL version may not be supported by W7, since the current version is 3.2!

Good Luck!

Q&A: How do you get rid of warning pop ups in Windows Vista?

Question from Reeble: How do you get rid of warning pop ups in Windows Vista?
I just got Windows Vista on my computer at work, and every time I go to move a file into a different folder a window pops up and asks me if I’m sure I want to do this. Is there any way to get rid of this? It’s really annoying. I couldn’t find anything about it in the folder options or troubleshooting.

yeah win7 can emulate xp but that is not the problem

all these games are online i presume?…so there is something wrong with ur internet connection or maybe u have not installed java drivers and/or other drivers required to run win7 properly

personally id disconnect all the unnecessary things like dvd/cd drives leave your boot hard drive in there at first then try and boot the machine. select safe mode and see if it gets any further. If not disconnect the hard drive as well and turn on and see if it can just stay on, so this would check to see if the problem was related to overheating or power supply etc.
also if you need to check a pc its always handy to have a live linux cd you can pop into the cd drive and boot up from as this will eliminat the vast majority of the pc and you can use the linux os to repair / c heck hard disc drive..
