Question from George: Notebook problem??
I have a problem with my notebook.When I press the button to turn it on it will just turn on for about a sec and it will turn off on its own!!Can any1 tell my what the problem is and if possible how much would it cost??

It sounds like your laptop battery is not making a full connection to keep your laptop power on. if you do not see any errors on the screen before the laptop shuts down, then it seems like a power source issue. Your best bet would be to take the battery out and dust out the battery compartment to ensure nothing is in the way of the connections. Then replace the battery and plug in the laptop to the wall unit and try again. If this problem persists, it could be a power source inside the laptop. I would not work on this personally, I would recommend taking to a repair shop. Try the battery cleaning first.

I have a Mitsubishi model ws55809 and i am having a problem with the convergeance were the pic every now and then looks 3-D. Does anyone know exactly what part i would need in order to fix the problem and if it is troublesome to fix? The tv is an 02 model and now no insurance so i am trying to do this myself.

if it is convergence problem then the CRT should be ok

usually convergence problem is not easy to fix and u might need to consult a qualified technician

I got a laptop last chirstmas and just recently the wireless connection has disconnected. I can’t understand what the problem is! The internet is working on my main computer but it’s just the connection that isn’t working. Can someone please tel me what to do to fix this problem!!!

maybe your wireless connection got turned off accidentally. switch it on so it can detect wireless networks.

I am going to purchase a scanner so that I can save old family photos. However, I have searched everywhere and I cannot find one. I have looked at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, Circuit City, and others. So, I am forced to buy one online.

Now to my question. What should I look for in a scanner? What makes a scanner more reliable than other scanners?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a scanner?
I want a USB scanner.

Yes, they had scanners, but I meant they did not have one by itself. They were all combinations (printer, scanner, all in one).

I have an asus eee pc 1005hab-blu001x. I’ve had issues with software in the past- but this is something I don’t know where to even start to fix. At this point, when I hit the power button, the asus screen shows up, then the loading f10 screen, back to asus and it goes blank. Not like the screen turns off- it’s more of a lit black. Windows simply never loads. It won’t even go into safe mode. The power button stays on and immediately shuts down when pushed. I know that the laptop was plugged in during a thunderstorm recently, and it started this issue literally right after it. Could this be the effect of a power surge?

Yes a power surge can cause a hard shut down of the operating system.
It also can damage the internal components like the mother board but first would try re install or repairing the operating system. If you do not have the system recovery flash drive or recovery disc set order them from Asus Support by model and serial number.
This would be the best starting point and cheapest before looking into internal problems.
Always unplug the lap top or desk top during a thunder storm or buy a excellent power surge protector.

This scanner is used to detect the error codes on electrical mitsubishi and caterpillar forklifts. Its like the scanner you hook to a car but for a forklift.
