I Don’t Know Why The FU$^&( I Went To Use My Printer Scanner And It Says: USB Is Not Connected (It’s Impossible) Cause The USB Cable & The Energy Cable Are Working Fine , I Can Print & Copy (How Could I Do It If The USB Is Not Connected?) By The Way I Have An Extra USB Cable (NEW) And I Replace it To See What Happens And I Have The Same Problem. HELP!!

Okay so I have a Acer Netbook laptop that came with Windows 7, it took me forever to figure out just how to set a background picture. Which I had to download a wallpaper installer…now when I set my background only some pictures work and you can’t seem to make the ones you want fit…how can i do this?

Keep tapping F8 when booting and choose Last Known Good Configuration
Next try Safe Mode then
Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
Pick an earlier day before the problem started
You either have a Trojan or Software that did not install properly

So my netbook has been acting up lately as the internet disconnects, and even if I restart the computer it doesn’t detect any signals. The connection light at the bottom right also stops flashing.

if the light stops then it could be that either
1. u have a virus
2. call ur ISP
and of coarse i really recommend u call ur internet service provider. they should help you out more seen that it mostly might be a connection problem with the internet that u have. i u have a modem, turn it off and turn it back on. also, check your firewall.

Question from Kona: HP C4500 Scanner problem?
I’m at home now, so I have to use the wireless connection to connect to my dad’s printer/scanner. Its a C4580 Photosmart printer with a scanner on top (and I have a Macbook Pro). Basically, the scanner worked fine and scanned 8 pictures without problem, and then, it decides to shrink the area of what I wanted to scan from the picture, and tilts it about 45 degrees so its diagonal. I have no idea why it just started now.
This is what I’ve done so far, and nothing changed:
-got rid of a bunch of old files to clear up the memory
-restarted my computer
-turned the printer on/off
-closed and reopened HP photosmart studio
I have no idea what else I can do to make this stupid thing work correctly! It did give me a message about there “being no more memory” to save, so that’s why I trashed a lot of old files and deleted them.
Please help!

Check your viewer. Sometimes, the viewer will rotate the pic 45 degree and it looks smeared sort of. That is the problem when you exchange data between PC and Mac. Save the image as jpeg. That should solve the problem.

We have just setup a new scanner Kodak i1440 at our work. We use a program called laserfiche to scan our document. The problem is that lets say when we have the scan window open for the scanning process, once we close this window and click on the scan button so that the scanning window opens again, it will not. The actual CPU process for the LFSCAN.EXE (laserfiche scan) sits in the memory, unless you end task that by doing ctrl+alt+delete, the scan window will not open again! and this is an annoying process since we change folder often and we have to close the scan window to change folders since only one scan window is allowed to be open at once. we just bought a new computer too and tested the process on that one but still the same problem exists!any help?!

Question from jughead: Dell CRT monitor problem.?
The monitor came with a Dimension 2400. Lately a box keeps popping up in the middle of the screen. It’s a box for changing settings on the monitor, but you are not able to do much with it. Sometimes pressing exit on the monitor makes it go away, sometimes not. Sometimes it goes away on it’s own but it always comes back. It’s a real pain. Anyone know the cause and/or solution to this problem?

This on screen menu comes from the monitor itself looks like the menu buttion is stuck or malfunctioning…
check the menu button on the monitor make sure its nt stuck…

I’ve had a few desktops but never a laptop and know nothing about them. I want a laptop or notebook that I can travel in a motorhome or camping around the country and need it to be able to pick up internet like from wi-fi hotspots as I travel. Or maybe also be able to put an internet card into it when I have money. Of course nothing too expensive. Thanks a lot for your help.

Well when i press the scan button it doesn’t work it’s as simple as that.
I tried fixing it and i found something that might be a problem, but don’t know how to fix it. I went to
Control Panel/ Hardware and Sound/ Scanner and Cameras
then i saw my scanner and when I look at my properties/ event
I see that the selected event and the choice was do nothing and i can’t click the other choices as they are filled out and can’t press it. Although there is Start this program and beside it it says no application are registered for this event. So my question is how do i fix it so that it works??

There is no fxing to be done or anything. Just go to your Desktop. You would be having an icon Called Solution center. Click on It. The Menu will be having a SCAN button. In future scan all your photos/documents through this. Treat the single button scan on the machine as decor piece.
