Question from Me: Xbox 360 Graphics Issue?
Today I was playing the MLB 2K9 demo when all of the sudden my graphics turned somewhat… drawing or painting like. They look almost like the pictures you get out of an illustration mode of a digital camera. Once I left the game and was at my dashboard, I realized that it wasn’t just a faulty demo, but my Xbox 360. I called support and they said I need to test a different AV cable, or otherwise send it into them for 0. I let my console rest for awhile, then I restarted it, and all was well. But after about five minutes of playing, it reverted back to the graphical issue. Help?

if you’re xbox is under a year old I’d call them back and demand them to fix it free or a full refund….they should cover it. if its over a year old but under 3, look up how to get the rrod and then call them up to send you a new console lol

I know you can hook up a xbox 360 to a computer monitor and I am looking to do that with my current one. I also still want to use the computer as well. Would I have to switch the plugs everytime I want to go from computer to xbox and vice versa? Or is there a splitter device of some sort that could help me? Like a TV / Video function on a television.

If both your XBox 360 and your PC use the VGA port on a monitor, you can buy a VGA switch box that will allow you to switch back and forth between displaying the PC or the XBox.

Question from Trevor DeHaan: Xbox 360 Controller Issue [KEEPS DISCONNECTING]!?
I own 2 Xbox 360 controllers, which both use AA battery packs. Both packs contain fully charged batteries. When playing on the console, my controller will just randomly disconnect, and then I will have a hard time getting it to reconnect. Sometimes it wont reconnect at all. I am only about 7 feet from my console so range is no issue. And like I said, the packs both contain new, fully charged batteries. Frustrated, I borrowed my friends controller and it to does the same thing, yet he has no problem with it at home. Please help me if you have a solution or have had this problem before!

Like I said before, it is not anything to do with the batteries, or the pack. I have heard of the issue your talking about but that is not the case for ALL 3 CONTROLLERS I HAVE TRIED ON THE XBOX.

that white thing were you put the batteries in does it fit good. When its just moved a milimiter it disconects the bateries from making conection. Try to find out if thats the problem. If not new controller

Question from questionable one: XBOX 360 warranty issue + i know i’m stupid…?
Last year I purchased a used 360 console off of craigslist. It was an add for an elite system, ventured to pick it up and once I got home I realized it was an arcade system simply painted black. I was dupped. I emailed the dude but he said he had already used the money. Anyways, that is the story about my painted xbox 360 “elite” console.
Now, I am receiving the 2 red lights that signify my system is overheated. My question is, what is the best thing to do?
1) Should I send it out to Microsoft knowing that the spray paint will definitely be a deterrent in terms of warranty?
2) Buy a new console, not offline, and ensuring I will have a warranty for the future?
3) Or, persist and try the remedies suggested regarding the heating issue?
Personally, I think the fact that my console is not a legit 360 elite is reason to purchase a new one. However, I know money doesn’t grow off trees so it may be in my favour to send it for repair. I just don’t want to be charged to have it fixed.

Buy another Arcade system and keep your controllers and hard drive from your painted Xbox 360.
If you don’t have a hard drive from your painted Xbox 360, then buy a 60GB Premium. You need a hard drive.

Hi I seem to have a problem with my xbox. It seems that I will get a picture on my TV ONLY after I do the towel trick and after it heats up a little. I have no understanding why the towel trick works all the time I only found people on forums doing it all the time. But for the bigger picture aside from the obviousness will my xbox die out on me soon? reason I ask is because I really have no money right now to get it repaired or buy a new one if that’s the case but just thought I’d get a good insight if anyone went through my situation or have any advice of what I can buy to make it better. First of all, if you do the towel trick or anything like that you can’t get it repaired. MS won’t touch it. It’s your fault for breaking it, not theirs, so you’d have to buy a new one.
You’ve screwed up your 360 by doing the towel trick. There’s your answer.

Sometimes when i turn on my xbox 360, only the sound comes, but not the video. IF this happens i try later and sometimes it works.
But it usually doesnt work. + if it works, it sometimes gets a shade of blue. ive tried to plug in the Yellow white and red wires in different AV ports but nothing seems to be working.
How can if fix this?

U could try wiggling the AV cables inside there correct ports or go out and buy a modem its a type of thing where u can plug your AV cables into the modem and then if you have cable take the part that goes in the tv follow it to where it ends in ur cable box and take that in plug it into the modem
P.S. if your tv is to old but still has the AV ports that maybe the problem

My xbox recently gave me the one red ring error E74. I don’t think I have a warrenty, because I bought the xbox used. I’ve read about people fixing this error by opening the xbox up and cleaning the inside a specific way, and I was wondering if this is a permanent fix? I was going to pay someone to ‘fix’ it, but I want to know if it’s a better idea to buy a new xbox. Thanks!

Even if you got it used, you should still call MS and see if MS will fix it for you for free. You have nothing to lose. If MS fixes it, great. If MS doesn’t fix it, you still have to pay to get it fix.
Depending how much it costs you to get it fixed, it might be better to just get a new one.

If you are going to place a camera in front of your TV, then the quality will not be great. You have to accept that.

If you want to add your voice to it, you need a mic and you have to download a program called audacity. Audacity lets you record your voice and makes it an mp3 so you can add it to a video in windows movie maker.
