Question from chris m: Please help with this PS3 issue?
Ok so i just got a ps3 2 days ago and i got Killzone 2 and when playing in campaign mode sometimes it will freeze randomly and the controller will be unresponsive also with the screen so you have to manually shut down the ps3 and turn it back on. It seems like when the game is autosaving or loading it happens its only happend like 5 times so far but its kind of annoying. I dont think that something is wrong with the ps3 cause its brand new can anyone give me some incite or advise on this issue. THankyou very much CHris
ok ill give that a try but i cant hold down the ps button when it freezes because it makes the controller un responsive same goes for the screen so i have to get up and shut the ps3 off by holding down the power button

Turn off the PS3 by holding the PS button of 3 seconds, and select “Turn Off System”. Switch off the main power on the back of the PS3. Unplug the PS3 and wait about 10 minutes. Replug the system, switch on the main power and turn on the PS3. Start the game. Also, make sure that you have the latest system software. You can check by going to the Settings section of the XMB, and selection “System Update”.

Question from beardedwalrus: BootMii issue “Dump is for a different Wii”?
Hey Guys,
I have bootmii installed as boot2. I have backed up my wii and now I want to restore it, but whenever I press the button to restore it bootmii says “Dump is for a different Wii”. It isn’t for another Wii because the files were backed up from the same Wii. Is there a remedy to this problem? If it matters at all my firmware is 3.2U and I am using a Lexar 1gb SD card.

Doing a Nand Backup on the newest beta 3, which dumps a Key.Bin and Nand.Bin i noticed your not able to restore. It gives the error this dump is from another Wii Which it is not.
So my question is why is the Keys not stored to the nand.bin like in the past, and sense they are now stored in the key.bin.
Why does bootmii still have the protection to check for the keys in the nand.bin.
I now there is ways around this by using a Hex editior, and adding the key.bin to the end of the Nand.bin so bootmii will accept it. But i also found a problem with the key.bin itself it needs a space between console and ID before you can add it to the end of the nand.bin using a hex editor otherwise you’ll still get the different wii error
Instructions to make a beta 3 dump usable for those that really need it
1. Open Key.bin in a hex editor look for the Word ConsoleID if you notice in the hex editor theres no space between console and ID there should be and sense theres not you will need to add this Space
To add a Space between Console and ID just put 20 in hex which is a Blank Space between Console and ID, without over writing any data and without moving all the data forward except the chunk your working on and hit save Now highlight and copy all of the 1024bits of the key.bin

2. Now Open up Nand.bin in the hex editor scroll down to the every end and hit paste, to copy all of the 1024bits of the key.bin. to the end of the Nand.bin and hit save
3. Now your Dump is usable
Heres the easier method thanks to IceFire sense i had no clue you could do this but you’ll still have to fix the error in the key.bin with the space between ConsoleID before you can do this
Put the files (keys.bin and nand.bin) in root of the SD card, then:
Windows:
1) Start -> Run -> cmd
2) Find the drive letter of your SD card, for example, F:.
3) Type this, replace the X with the drive letter: cd X:\
4) Type this: copy /b nand.bin + keys.bin nand.bin
5) ?????
6) PROFIT!!!
*nix (Mac and Linux):
1) Open a terminal.
2) Find the mount point of your SD card (/media/VOLUMENAME often on Linux, /Volumes/VOLUMENAME on Mac)
3) Type this, replacing MOUNTPOINT with the mount point of your SD card: cd MOUNTPOINT
4) Type this: cat nand.bin keys.bin > nand.bin
5) ?????
6) PROFIT!!!

Question from Me: Xbox 360 Graphics Issue?
Today I was playing the MLB 2K9 demo when all of the sudden my graphics turned somewhat… drawing or painting like. They look almost like the pictures you get out of an illustration mode of a digital camera. Once I left the game and was at my dashboard, I realized that it wasn’t just a faulty demo, but my Xbox 360. I called support and they said I need to test a different AV cable, or otherwise send it into them for 0. I let my console rest for awhile, then I restarted it, and all was well. But after about five minutes of playing, it reverted back to the graphical issue. Help?

if you’re xbox is under a year old I’d call them back and demand them to fix it free or a full refund….they should cover it. if its over a year old but under 3, look up how to get the rrod and then call them up to send you a new console lol

I know you can hook up a xbox 360 to a computer monitor and I am looking to do that with my current one. I also still want to use the computer as well. Would I have to switch the plugs everytime I want to go from computer to xbox and vice versa? Or is there a splitter device of some sort that could help me? Like a TV / Video function on a television.

If both your XBox 360 and your PC use the VGA port on a monitor, you can buy a VGA switch box that will allow you to switch back and forth between displaying the PC or the XBox.

A while ago I bought Call of Duty 3 for the PS3. I put it into the system and error 80032B603 appeared and did not allow me to play the game. However I am allowed to play other games such as Resistance: Fall of Man. Every time i got a system update i tried playing it again. I even exchanged it for a new one. recently sytem update 1.80 allowed me to play it but today the error appeared again! How do I fix this? I am currently downloading a new update but I’m not sure if this is all I need.

Happens to my psp alot. Try seeing the disk for scratches.or look in the ps3 for any tech. issues,or see if there is a parental lock on it. If those dont work call sony thell help u for free i call them if i have issues with my psp.

So I clicked update and it went through about half of the update and then this message came up: “Error has occurred. Question from Trevor DeHaan: Xbox 360 Controller Issue [KEEPS DISCONNECTING]!?
I own 2 Xbox 360 controllers, which both use AA battery packs. Both packs contain fully charged batteries. When playing on the console, my controller will just randomly disconnect, and then I will have a hard time getting it to reconnect. Sometimes it wont reconnect at all. I am only about 7 feet from my console so range is no issue. And like I said, the packs both contain new, fully charged batteries. Frustrated, I borrowed my friends controller and it to does the same thing, yet he has no problem with it at home. Please help me if you have a solution or have had this problem before!

Like I said before, it is not anything to do with the batteries, or the pack. I have heard of the issue your talking about but that is not the case for ALL 3 CONTROLLERS I HAVE TRIED ON THE XBOX.

that white thing were you put the batteries in does it fit good. When its just moved a milimiter it disconects the bateries from making conection. Try to find out if thats the problem. If not new controller

I cant get my headset to work on my PS3 I accidentally changed the setting and now on Input Device its stuck on “Do not use” output is stuck on “System Default” i have tried everything!
It is a USB device, i have unplugged it plugged it back in…restarted 4 or 5 times. I have also reset to default settings, it does not work.
PLease, i know how to use the headset and change headsets….
The issue is the PS3 will NOT let me switch from “Do Not Use” under the output device settings, and “system default” under the input device…..I tried every button but it will again NOT let me change these settings or pick the USB device. I have used it before but the settings got changed on Accident.

You might have to do restore the PS3 back to its factory default settings, aka format hard drive so all settings are changed back.
Before you try that, if you have Resistance Fall of Man, load it up and click play online multiplayer. In the main menu where you see find game, community, party etc click options. Then go to audio device settings. The game has its own setting which is exactly like the PS3 menu’s one, maybe it would work if you tried changing the default voice from here.
