Question from pepprann95: Computer problems?? Help!!!?
Ok so my laptop kept giving me this warning saying it was low on disc space (and i had no idea what that meant) so i went on there to uninstall some programs. I uninstalled this QuickTime on accident because I thought it wasn’t important, and now I can’t get into iTunes. It says I have to uninstall iTunes and install it again. How do I do this?? And will I lose my entire library??? Help me please!!!!!!

hmmm you may have downloaded and installed updates since time you installed it you may have to find a newer version or maybe your os(operating system) is incompatible from last time you installed itunes due to you downloading a newer version than possible for your os when you uninstall it just go ahead and make sur there is no trace of it on your hard drive … so go to……. start>>my computer >>> select primary hard drive … usually c:drive then go to >> program files and look in the list there will be a file that says .. (i tunes) DELETE IT it may contain hidden documents .. then try and reinstall it and see how you go don’t be afraid to delete things from your c drive .. just when you do make sure your deleting the right thing .. such as itunes
here is the steps again
start>>my computer>>local disc c>>program files>> delete iTUNES folder>>>reinstall iTUNES that should get you running again

Question from Unique New York!!: What is different about the mac book pro and the plain old mac book?
im thinking about getting a laptop. i want a mac. i don’t know the difference between the mac book pro and the normal mac book. and then there’s the mac book air and thats just another story. HELP?

Answer by Braden L
dont get the air, it sucks. macbookpro is the same as a macbook, except its aluminum ( macbook=plastic) it has a card reader, its available in 13, 15, and 17 inches, (macbook=13 inches) and the screen is a bit different, but for 200 bucks more, its not worth it. if youre new to mac, id sugest the macbook, but considering you know noting about macs, (you had to ask this question?) get a pc. but if you want to, get a mac! they are great!
p.s. they cost 1099.99

Question from cFLYNNN: Why is my laptop slow slow, in general?
I’ve had my Dell Latitude D600 since Christmas ‘06, aka the end of 2006, and when I bought it, it ran great… Started up in less than 10 seconds…
Now it’s July of 2008, I’ve since than had to replace the screen and entire motherboard because of accidents, no changes to the laptop, that I can tell, other than speed.
I use to have a lot of programs on it but because of the dramatic change in speed over time, I’ve deleted all my programs, with the exceptions of…
Mozilla Firefox 3.0
AIM
Windows Live Messenger
Frostwire
iTunes
Ad-Aware
and AVG Free
Those are the ONLY programs I have right now, other than programs, like, Quicktime, and DivX, and the necessary Microsoft programs which, if I deleted, would screw up my system…
According to Windows, my :C/ Drive has 17.7 GB Used and 56.8 GB of Free Space, pther than program files I have about ~1000 pictures and ~300 pictures, which isn’t that much of the 74.5 GB of space my laptop has. So… I think I’ve given enough info, what’s wrong?

Question from jess_falk: I tried opening iTunes but an error came up saying I need a new version of Quick time but I already have it?
The error is saying to either re-install iTunes, which I did but even then, I got the same error saying that I needed a new version of Quick-time. I re-installed a new version of Quick-time and it didn’t help. I even went to the apple website and clicked on the iTunes and Quick-time link to ‘repair any missing or damaged files’ and even THAT didn’t help. Is there anything else I can do?

Itunes 7.4.1.2 or higher has extracted a virus called Trojan Encryptor
uninstall it
and only use itunes from the ipod.

Format the drive to FAT32. Then it’d work on both machines.
